The debut EP from Dark Inventions, Hinterland, has been released.
Thanks to the generous support of the Britten-Pears Foundation, Dark Inventions have been able to commission Philip Cashian to write a new work for our 2014 tour. This new work will form a central part of our tour.
On 8th August Dark Inventions played at St Mary’s Cathedral Edinburgh as part of the Edinburgh Fringe. From its present pathway was premiered in the concert. Here’s a recording
Do not keep silent, the 2012 Jack Lyons Commission, was premiered on 26 June. The performance was given by Samuel Thompson (solo piano) with the University of York Chamber Orchestra (cond. John Stringer).
In that solitude was be performed in Australia by the Volta Collective this month in their Volta:Relic concert. Here is a live recording.
Dark Inventions have recently performed Pierrot Lunaire in the York Spring Festival.
