A paper has been selected for a conference at the Orpheus Institute, Ghent, in February 2015.
In April 2015 my string quartet, Home in Wilderness, will be performed in Hong Kong.
My music will be recorded and published by University of York Music Press in a new project with funding from Arts Council England.
In November 2014 an article of mine was published in Contemporary Music Review.
On Tuesday 7 October, I will be presenting at the International Association of Music Information Centres conference in Ksiaz, near Wroclaw.
This week I’ll give my last paper as PhD student at one of the Postgraduate Forum at York. Entitled ‘The narratives and continuities of Movements’, the paper examines Stravinsky’s Movements for piano and orchestra.
On 7th July I took part in the final of the Humanities Research Centre Doctoral Fellowship competition and came first place.
This year I curated the first Sound and Music Google Cultural Institute Exhibition. This explores work of the 2014 New Voices composers.
I’m one of the 2014 Sound and Music New Voices. Through this scheme my music will now be published through Composers Edition.
On 16 May I presented at the Poetics of Collage conference, Centre for Creative Collaboration, University of London.
I’ve recently finished a North of England tour with Dark Inventions, which included the first performances of The Four Last Things.
On Friday 9th May, I appeared on Radio 3’s In Tune with Dark Inventions to discuss the group and our Firewheel tour and to play live throughout the show.
